There was such a problem: there is a yamaha dtx400k installation, since for certain reasons I cannot control the hi-hat with my foot, there was a need for a device that would allow me to control it with my hand, only in on / off mode, that is, I pressed a button, switch, toggle switch - high- the hat is closed, pressed again - it is open, that is, the same hat controller in the form of a light switch or something like that. is there such a thing? what is the name, where to get it / buy it? I don't know about the yamaha, Roland allows you to conveniently adjust the opening of the hat with a sharp rise in the dynamics. I use this function on the octopad. Like the second level of the sample.

In theory, if you only need on-off, you can solder the switch to the stereo jack and close the L / R with it (you can see the diagram of the regular controller).
