Is it worth changing Pearl Demon Drive to DW CP9002?

  • solidator

don't worry and play the pearl)

although if you want to try - go for it, it won't get any worse!

the pearl is sharper due to the direct drive, for the speed the very thing

    dv more dynamic and smoother

To be honest, it's more convenient for me to play on pedals with a chain, you invest in them in every beat, real loud rock)

I myself have Axis and Gibraltar top-end on the chain, there is something to compare with)

  • sega

if not faster than 180, then definitely dv))

  • Maxofff

xs then, if the demon suits you in everything, then there is no point in amusing the gas, especially if you often play close to 180

    You can try another speedcobra

  • a_sharapko

speedcobra is not mine at all, the old cobra was more to my taste ... before there was an elik on a chain ... the demon took just for a change, that on elik that on the demon there is only one raspberry, I play the same way)))

  • alex_marchenko

well, if you have experience with chain pedals, then you can definitely try dv

  • a_sharapko

yes, the chain is more sincere or something))) I played on the chain, got tired, bought a demon, the feeling is different, that what is played on the other is the same)))

  • a_sharapko

the demon like the indestructibility from the pedals themselves to the shaft, it is quite simple to use)))

  • Ivan_drums

So, I am now asking myself exactly the same question: should I change the demon to 9000)) I took 9000 alone for a trial, until I tasted it, but offhand I like it more than a demon)

I have a DW9002, in general, a good pedal, but the left stroke is somewhat wadded, most likely because of the crosses and the shaft, well, you know, energy transfer, etc. But in general I am satisfied with this device. I can’t say anything about the others, I played only on chains.

There was a demon for a long time, after Dv 9000 it seemed like a toy in sensations, returned to Dv again. The only drawback is in the weight of the pedal. The stock shaft, of course, is not very good, but people like Lang, Minnemann and a million other cool guys play on such shafts and do not complain. the shaft was replaced by Trick and the backlash disappeared altogether.

I made a conclusion for myself: if I started with a shitty instrument and the incentive to study did not disappear, but on the contrary, there was an even greater desire to grow above oneself, then the person is on the right path.
