if I'm not mistaken, then the sustain is longer, my ride is on the rack, there is no felt or lamb on top

I, kanesh, am not an expert, but in my opinion, so that the plate does not rub against metal, I have been playing for a long time without felt, my bells all broke.

Felt works not only as a retainer, but also as a damper, thanks to which you can adjust the duration of the sustain. Without wind, the sustain will naturally grow significantly.

I don’t put on felt on the ride, because sometimes I miss the cup and fall into the felt
