Jordan Terris Memorial Drum Festival 2013
Preparations are in full swing, a drum festival is being held to raise money for teen cancer patients and to celebrate the 21st birthday of a talented young drummer who tragically died of cancer in 2007.
Mom Fiona and step dad Kevin, who run the festival, want to earn as much as they can for a charity that allows young cancer sufferers to be treated in specialized wards.
This is the second drummer festival they've put together and there have been many offers of help from drummers and drum companies. As with the previous festival in 2010, this event will feature a plethora of drummers and some excellent drummers on stage: Skunk Anansie, Mark Richardson, Ash Soan, Level 42, Phil Gould, stickswoman Emily Dolan Davies, Cherisse Osei, Robin Guy and the famous drum teacher Mike Dolbear.
The Youngest Drummer winner will also play, as will Dion Dublin, best known for inventing the Dube percussion instrument.
