Dave Grohl was born on January 14, 1969 in Washington DC. He taught himself to play drums and guitar. As a teenager, he joined his first real band, Scream. With them he performed around the world. In the late 80s, when the band broke up, he moved to Seattle and there he tried to join to a local little-known team - Nirvana.

Immediately after that, the songwriter, guitarist and lead singer of Nirvana presented the band and the songs that were included in their debut album is Nevermind. Dave also took the time to record some demos on which he sang, played instruments and was a songwriter. The Nevermind album elevated Nirvana to superstar status.
