John Paul Densmore was born December 1, 1944 in Santa Monica, California. Drummer, writer, trained at Santa Monica City College; University of California, Northridge.

I have been playing for six years. I have almost nothing to say about all this. At the age of ten I started taking piano lessons. They tried to teach me how to play Bach. Tried for two years. In high school, I got my own drum kit for the first time. I played symphonic music in high school, then played jazz for three years as a session musician. since this year I'm in rock and roll and it's cool.
