Brothers, there are two questions!
Now I have a super cool Sonor 3007 drum 12x5 in size, I have an idea to change the upper rim to a wooden one, actually questions :)
1) when replacing the native steel rim (2.3mm if anything), will the same biting and sharp sound of my drum disappear?
2) and if it still doesn't disappear, then where can I order a wooden rim, I really like them visually :)
Thanks everyone for the replies!
The steel rim gives a sharp attack, the wooden one makes it soft.
On the wooden rim, you can also see / listen to Steve Gadd - he plays with such very often.
