This problem has affected many.
It is common and fierce, because sometimes it is easier to throw out and buy a new rack than to separately look for a new clamp for a specific rack.
How did I solve it:
1) Take the broken clamp, solder / glue with epoxy.
2) Take 1/2 razor (you will not find a thinner, more flexible and durable boat) and WITHOUT BENDING them beforehand, press them tightly to the surface and glue them together. (Try with 1 razor first. 2 may reduce the clamp too much.)
3) After waiting for complete drying, we remove the "snot" from the glue with a skin.
The clamp has passed the tests.
Naturally, such a clamp will no longer withstand a tightening "to the point of usera", but it is quite possible to use it. For the reliability of the entire structure (stand / chair), additionally use a memory lock.

In the photo, the glue does not look very nice, because has not yet been sanded. And a beautiful view is not important here.
P.s. The usual 5sec moment is not designed for bending and can crack.
Use a potent epoxy whenever possible.

I also had a piece of hardware bursting once.) Only the piece of iron itself was a clamp, and therefore had to be thrown out.

I bought this. It was cheap and I knew in advance how I would fix the problem.
A friend's Iron Cobra also cracked on the road. Although he did not give it up for loading and took it in his arms. Anything can happen.
